Dress Like a Flower

Wedding season is upon us and like most of you I've be searching the Internet for a new party dress or two. You can't be caught dead wearing the same dress to different weddings! Just kidding, I'm actually trying this year (as much as I can) to shop from my closet. But whether you're in the market for a brand new dress or just a couple accessories to brighten up an old one, why not take some fashion advice from nature!

This is the dress that started me on my quest to dress like a flower. The colours and the texture are so perfectly inspired by nature. You may also recognize this dress as one Amanda Seyfried wore during New York Fashion Week. Owning this gorgeous dress is a bit out of most people's price range at $2,100 but you can rent it from Rent the Runway for $275!

Pair this lovely lace number with a co-ordinating pink Diana. If you're into photography, a medium format camera can give you some interesting and unexpected photos that you won't get from digital.

I know, this is a leaf not a flower. It still makes for great wardrobe inspiration. This leafy green dress would be great for an outdoor wedding and will look lovely in photos.

Boy, I've been busy designing lately. A lot of my new designs have been going to my Pingg Gallery, so I wanted to add some to my Etsy shop too. Btw, if you haven't heard of Pingg you need to check it out now. It's a super stylish way to send online invitations, especially if you choose one of my designs! How's that for shameless self-promotion? I don't know if I should be saying this, but when I explain to people what Pingg is I always tell them that it's like Evite but with designs you actually want to send to your friends!

Ok, now here's a look at the newest designs in my Etsy shop. They're all really different from each, so I think there's something for everyone.

Retro Airstream Camper

Classic Peacock

Minimalist Watercolour

Rainbow Confetti

All of the wedding sets in my Etsy shop are printable designs. Printable wedding invites are something that I really believe is going to become very popular. Nowadays, most people have a printer fancy enough to handle these designs. And if you don't, there are roughly 10 million places you can take the file to get it printed on the cheap. There are even online printers now, so you can get it done without leaving your couch. If you're interested in printing your own invites, but you have questions just let me know. I'd be happy to help!

Huesday: Splash of Colour

This week's Huesday comes from my inspiration folder for the new house. What a great way to add some colour without doing a boring old cliché accent wall. I'm thinking about doing this in my office with a pink or fuscia to define a little reading nook.

Wouldn't you love to have a van like this? Maybe not very practical for everyday, but absolutely perfect for a day at the beach.
