You know when people say they wouldn't want a cat because cats creep them out? Well I
totally get that.
Marshall is known for staring at things that don't exist. As in, staring with such intensity
that you end up getting down on the ground and trying to see things from his perspective.
Once or twice, he's sat facing a corner just staring at the wall. What a weirdo, right?
But creepiness is one of the many things I love about kitties.
Here's some stuff I found on the internet this week:
This gorgeous embroidery
makes me what to get my needle and thread out!
Give your photos an ombre effect.
Ever want to make cookies but don't want to end up eating the whole batch yourself?
No, me neither. But in case you did, here's how to make 3 little cookies.
A Beautiful Mess will show you how to get these lovely
flat iron curls.
Oh good, it's Caturday! The day where I show you a picture of one my kitties. I did this
a long time ago on the blog once, but completely forgot about til now. I think it's time to
bring back Caturday!
Here's a photo I snapped the other day of Barney in the dryer. He loves to explore. Do you
ever put your pets in funny places to take photos, or is it just me?
To make Caturday even better, here are some links I've gathered this week:
Lisa Congdon and Mati McDonough are running an e-course for 'beginning and returning
painters' called Get Your Paint On.
I found a delicous recipe for a healthy dessert.
I'm 99% sure I'm going to dye my hair a crazy color this week! I loooove dip
dyed ends like this.
And I gotta give credit where credit's due. Kitty Photo Friday on Miss Modish's Blog
is what jogged my memory about Caturday. I can't get enough her adorable kitty cats.
Hey there everyone! The boys wanted to wish you a Happy St. Catrick's day... I mean Patrick's
Don't worry no beer for the kitties, just treats in that mug.
Bribery always works for kitty photo shoots.
I also bought a pair of glittery shamrock glasses, but completely failed in getting
either of them to try them on. This is literally the best shot I got.
When I was paying for the glasses the lady at the check-out noticed that the lens was broken
and insisted on getting me an undamaged pair. I wanted so badly to tell her "It's not a big
deal, I only bought them for my cats to wear." but thought that might be crossing a little
too far in to crazy cat lady territory.
Cookies are such a yummy snack, and these vegan chocolate chip cookies are probably
the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever tasted! I was worried because the batter
seemed a little dry when I was mixing it up, but they turned out nice and soft.
Even Marshall got interested.
I got the recipe from a lovely blog called Kirsten's Kitchen.
She has a bunch of really delicious vegan recipes, you should take a look!
Now I just need some cute dessert plates to serve them on! Like these adorable
from West Elm.
Kitty measuring cups? ...How do I not already own these??? Now that I know these cuties
exist, I don't think I can do any more baking til I get them. The adorably named
Meow for Measuring Cups
Edit: My perfectionist husband wanted me to add that it's not actually milk in that
glass, it's soy milk. Which is technically not milk. :P
