I recently read a question from someone on Offbeat Home about how to fit your old rock memorabilia into your grown-up apartment. If you were like me as a teenager you probably went to lots of concerts and came home with posters, ticket stubs, album art, t-shirts, etc. which you then plastered all over the walls of your bedroom. Over the years I've gotten rid of a lot of it, but I still have a few artifacts from my years as an angsty, black-haired, baggy jeans wearing teenager. Now I'm at the point in my life where I want my home to look like the home of an adult, but I still have a lot of the same taste in music and I don't think I'm quite ready for beige walls and prints of soothing landscapes!
So what do you do if you went a little Feng Shui crazy when you grew out of your teenage years and tossed all your fun stuff? Naturally, I turned to Etsy for the answer. And boy, did I find some great things.
Record Time sells clocks made from recycled records found in second hand stores, and they have everything from The Beatles to Whitney Houston. You know I love me a good clock and I think I might just have to snag this one for myself!
How can you not love this wall decal from Lewa's Designs?? It's like a tattoo for your walls! It looks great behind a bed like they show in the picture, but this would work well as artwork behind your couch too. Wall decals are also great because they take no time to install and you can change 'em out every season if you want!
See! You don't have to have that street sign you stole in 11th grade (shhh!) above your door and concert posters all over the walls to have a home that reflects the badass you really are!
