I'm not usually the type of person to jump on the bandwagon with super popular books, but The Help is actually a pretty interesting read. It still has the fast-paced easy-read feel that you would expect from a book that goes this mainstream, but the story is very good. The writing is good. The pace is good. Heck, even the movie is good. Good? Normally, as an avid reader, I automatically dimiss the movie version of a book as extra fluff for the super fans but I would watch The Help (the movie) just for the clothes and decor. Gah, I could move right in to Hilly's house and be very comfortable. Expect for the whole bathroom situation (obs).
