Aaaand this is why I don't usually show my sketchbook pages. That dragon with legs that look
like they went through a meat grinder? Why? And the crown... Oh lord. Once I get drawing a
couple ugly things, the next step is always to draw little cartoon people or animals to make
fun of my ugly drawings. If you're anything like me I hope you'll identify with the feeling
that you have a draw a ton of crap to come up with one tiny thing you like. But I find some
comfort knowing that all this terrible doodling will help me in the long run. It can only
get better from here, we've hit rock bottom with this one.
Hey guys, I've been so busy working on CourseCraft that I almost forgot about my first love
Mr. Handsomeface. Here's a quick little CourseCraft update for those of you following along.
Speaking of following...you should totally be following
CourseCraft on Twitter! Then you'll be up on all the
The first little bit of news is that we started buying ads on some blogs to get our name out
there. We're starting slow at first, but if you have a blog and you think your followers
would be interested in us please let me know, we're always looking for new blogs to sponsor.
Also, it would really help if you were using
Passionfruit for your ad management. I mean,
they're totally awesome people and they make selling ads on your blog stupid easy. Nice people,
easy ads. What more can I say?
In other advertising news, we put together like 4 million (more like 100) of these cute little
paint brushes with a Moo card attached. Who knows where they might pop
up! Keep an eye out for the glittery ribbon. ;)
Ok, last little tidbit is that I've put together an example course. Not only will you be able
to see what a finished course looks like, you can learn all you need to know about creating
your own course. We had tons of people asking for this, so I really hope you find it useful.
The course is free and open to anyone so you don't even need a CourseCraft account to check it
out. That's all for now, have a great Monday everyone.
Hooray, it's the start of my new 52 week project! This year I'm filling a new sketchbook
page every week. I don't draw nearly enough as I want to, I tend only pick up my sketchbook
if I'm sketching out a specific project. I almost never draw just for fun anymore. My last
52 week project (The View from my Phone) was so much fun, I'm really looking forward
to this one.
Are you working a 52 week project? I'd love to hear about it!
P.S. If you want to check out my last year long project, you can browse my photo posts
using the categories on the sidebar.
I tried something a little different for this month's background, so I hope you like it.
It started out as a little doodle and progressed into this...whatever it is! :P It's sort
of kooky, but hey, you gotta love trianges!
Hey you know, I just had a thought. If you have any requests for the upcoming months, you
should let me know! Glitter? Kitties? Polka Dots? I'm going to need your help to come up with
12 of these babies.
There are 4 sizes to choose from depending what kind of computer/lappy you have
so there should be something for everyone's situation, plus a patterned iPhone
background. Just click one of the buttons below to get the full size image. Then
just save it and set it as your wallpaper.
