I've started writing a weekly post for the Passionfruit blog called
Mondays are for Lovers. Every week I'll showcase a few blogs from the
Passionfruit Family and show you what they've been up to! If you want to be
considered for this post, please let me know.

At the age of 16 I was fortunate enough to go on an amazing trip to Paris.
Without my parents. Did I mention that I was 16 years old? Ten years later, it
still remains one of the best weeks of my life. I stuffed my face at every
bakery I passed, I ordered a beer in restaurant, went to the Eiffel Tower at
night, cruised down La Seine and saw some beautiful works of art. I just
dug up some of these old photos, I hope you like them!
This is as close as you're going to get to seeing a photo of me! Back then
I didn't own tweezers and I cut my own bangs. Also, my luggage got lost so
my outfits were all ill-fitting pieces I borrowed from friends.
I don't know that red-headed lady. Isn't it weird to think that you could be
in some stranger's vacation photos?
I even bought a roll of black and white film, ooh la la! Remember when you
had to get entire roll of film just to take one photo in black and white?
It would have been a lot easier if I had an iPhone back then.
One of the highlights was seeing the Picasso museum. I could have spent all
I want to go back so bad, but I'm almost afraid it won't be as good as the
memory! What about you? Traveled to any cool places?
This past Saturday, we attended two weddings. As much as I love weddings,
two in one day proved to be tiring even for me, especially since they were out
of town. Well actually, I guess we were the ones who were out of town, either
way it was a looong day. Here are a few shots from the weekend.
Did you see the church mouse I found? It was very quiet, as expected.
The weddings were both very beautiful, but as the day went on I took
fewer and fewer photos. I did end up with a couple nice ones though!

This past week, I tried to focus on being creative everyday. I drew until my
hand almost fell off! I ended up designing a couple new iPhone cases
for fun, all of which are available as prints too. I also spent a lot of time
on my painting for Get Your Paint On: Beyond the Basics.
This class has been a lot of fun. I've played a lot with
acrylics before and painted in other mediums, but I've never actually sat
down and made a whole painting from beginning to end. It's turning out to be
a little more challenging than I thought it would be. Also, I'm sort of nervous
to show my work! I see the work some of the other students are doing and I'm a
little intimidated. But I'll do it eventually, because putting your work out
there is a great way to get better.
